Millennium Field Constitution

1. The name of the organization shall be

THE MILLENNIUM FIELD ORGANIZATION.

2. The objects of the Organization are:-
(a) To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Ravenstonedale Parish without distinction of sex, age or political, religious or other opinions by coordinating sports clubs, local school, voluntary organizations, play groups and inhabitants from the area of benefit in a common effort to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for physical recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the aforesaid.
(b) To provide the facility for the local primary school to fulfill its legal obligations for the provision for physical education in the national curriculum..
(c) To provide a facility with disabled access to promote social inclusion.

3. Powers
In furtherance of the forgoing objects but not further or otherwise The organization shall have the following powers :- To manage budgets, to be responsible for all organization and administration, to apply for and manage grant money, to arrange publicity and encouragement of use, to take necessary action with regard to health and safety.

4. Membership
The Millennium Field Organization will be managed by an elected committee. No formal membership will be required for the use of the field as the field will be open to all individuals and local organizations. Regular users will be required to pay an annual voluntary contribution; also donations will be encouraged for organized activities to assist with the maintenance and insurance costs of the facility.

5. Committee structure
Chairperson, treasurer, secretary, other posts as seem to be relevant; a number of Organization members without title to be included. The committee to consist of at least eight members. For meetings to be quorate two thirds of the current committee must be present. The committee will meet at least quarterly. The committee will be elected at an open Annual General Meeting held before 1st April. The committee will at this meeting elect its own officers. The constitution may be altered at a quorum meeting.

6. Finance
The Millennium Field Organization will have its own bank account requiring the signatures of at least two elected officers on the cheques. Accurate accounts will be kept and all receipts and invoices will be kept for six years or more from there issue date. The treasurer will have the main responsibility for this. The Organization will commence on 1st April 2003; this date being the start of the financial year.

7. Dissolution
The Millennium Field Organization will remain in existence until the facility is no longer required or available, at which time The Committee will vote on the use of any residual funds. These funds may not go to an individual but must go to a local group or charity.
