The Hewetsons of Langdale

My ancestors are the Hewetson family of Langdale. They are descended from Braithwaite Birkett Hewetson born 1822 in Cartmel. He lived at Elterwater in Langdale and worked at the local gunpowder mill. He married Jane Parkinson who was christened in Ravenstonedale on the 2nd Nov 1824. They had at least 14 children. I am descended from George Hew(i)tson christened 18th March 1863. The name Hewetson became corrupted to Hewitson for 5 of the 14 children. I am the last of the male Hewitsons on my leg of the family tree. I would be very interested to hear from any other descendants of Braithwaite Birkett Hewetson or any residents of Ravenstonedale with knowledge of the family. I would be able to swap information with anybody interested.
