My Grand-father, John Dawson was b.1847 Kirkby Stephen, son of John Dawson b. 1811 Ravenstonedale and Mary Hewetson b. 1820 Brough under Stainmore, daughter of Thomas Hewetson. Before that there was John Dawson b.1781 who married Margaret Nicholson b. 1784. Robert Dawson b. 1757 m. Margaret Longstaff b. 1747 John Dawson b. 1728 m. Mary? And John Dawson b. 1700. Can anyone connect with these people? I am sure there must be many siblings in each generation, but cannot find them. In fact I could have taken a wrong turning somewhwere, in which case can any one put me right?
