Haymaking in July 2000
A spell of sunny weather in mid July saw farmers in the region making hay. In a spirit of 'all hands to the pumps' farmers and helpers made strenuous efforts to get the bales safely stacked in the barns before the inevitable break in the weather came. Work often carried on late into the evening to achieve this objective. It was a good month for farming in the area with haymaking preceded by silaging. Have a peep at the video of Clive (1.4Mb).
