I cannot receive attachments
When Outlook Express (version 6) is first set up it strips out attachments in an attempt to prevent virus infection. This setting is too severe for practical purposes and is easily corrected by the following procedure...
Step 1: Open Outlook Express, click on Tools and select Options...
Step 2: Click on the Security tab. There will be a tick in the box entitled 'Do not allow attachments...'. Click on this tick to remove it.
Step 3: Click on Apply button and then click OK button.
Note that this corrective procedure will allow access to attachments that have already been downloaded as well as to those downloaded in future. End.
