Its a Knockout
The Ravenstonedale School PTFA (Parents, Teachers, Friends Association)
hosted an 'It's a Knockout' event on the millenium field on a beautiful
summer evening, July 18th 2003. To celebrate the end of the academic
year it was decided to repeat the very successful event held 4 years
previously. On that occasion all present enjoyed a night of fun,
frolics and a good soaking. That is precisely what happened this
year. The juniors were split into 3 teams, each with a continent
as a team theme. Each team had a parent, a villager and a member
of staff or school governor to help or hinder progress! Following
a series of events involving bales of hay, wheel barrows, lots of
water and lots of laughs the scores were... Africa 24 points, Asia
24 points, South America 24 points. A grand draw! Amazingly all
the children were winners and all received a prize from Richard
Staley, our Master of Ceremonies and Diplomat Extraordinary. Our
community spirit lives on! Click on a picture to enlarge.
