Minutes of the Meeting held on Thursday 9th February 2006 had been
circulated.
Resolved that, subject to the correction of the name Wendy Richardson
to Wendy Nicholson, the minutes be signed by the Chairman as a correct
record
Public Participation
There were no contributions from members of the public
Children’s Playgrounds
The Chairman and Clerk have had a meeting with the landlord’s
agent regarding the lease of the Newbiggin site. General terms have
been agreed and the landlord’s solicitor has now been instructed
to draw up a draft lease.
Application for a grant of £20,000 towards the Ravenstonedale
site has been made to the Cumbria Waste Management Environmental
Trust (CWMET). An officer of the Trust has visited the site with
the Chairman and Clerk. A decision is expected in April.
Further grant applications are now being made for both sites.
Ravenstonedale Parish Council Website
The Parish Council section of Ravenstonedale.org website is now
live. The site contains current parish news and general information,
with links to other relevant organisations.
Suggestions are invited for additional information which should
be added.
EDC Scrutiny Review of Street Cleansing Services
Eden District Council is conducting a survey into the effectiveness
of their street cleansing services. Parish Councils have been asked
to indicate areas of satisfaction or otherwise.
Ravenstonedale PC responded that, while litter within the village
is not an issue, the rubbish in and around the litter bins in lay-bys
on the A685 needs more frequent attention.
